Ingredients:
900 gr rice
1 lt thick coconut milk
3 bay leaves
1 cm galangal, smashed
3 pandan
2 lemongrass, smashed
salt
fried onions
Peanut Sauce:
Red chili, stew
Salt
Garlic
Fried peanuts, finely crushed
Vinegar
Sugar
Hot water.
Directions:
- Cook coconut milk with bay leaves, galangal, pandan, lemonggrass and salt to boiling then add the rice and bring to a boil (stir occasionally) until the milk dries up. Then steamed until cooked.
- Serve with a sprinkling of fried onions.
Directions with Rice Cooker:
- Wash rice and drain off the water, add the coconut milk, bay leaves, pandan, lemongrass, galangal and salt, cook in rice cooker.
- Once cooked rice, stir until well blended and NASI UDUK is ready for you to enjoy.
Directions peanut sauce:
- Mash smooth, red chilli, garlic, and peanuts. Then brewed with hot water add vinegar, salt, and sugar.
